Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
Alhamdulillah..walaupun tinggal lagi dua minggu, aku masih belum buat apa-apa. Hahah. Emm..tapi banyak jugak dah masuk bahagian 60% siap. Antaranya dulang, beg cenderahati dan...itu je kot. Setakat nak sibuk-sibuk pasal pelamin, itu kan kita dah book. Pelamin, photographer, kek kahwin, umah sewa dan chocolate fountain.
Haa chocolate fountain tuh aku baru jek book. Tips penjimatan ialah korang sewa mesin tu pun dah ok. Pastu buah-buahan dan segala bahan untuk mencicah, beli sendiri. Contoh buahan yang boleh digunakan ialah epal hijau, epal merah, anggur, strawberi (kalau bajet lebih), biskut wafer plain, kek butter dan biskut jejari. If you guys were totally busy, you may take the package as well. Sewa mesin dalam RM35 je. Tapi coklat untuk dipping tu mahal gak, sekilo dalam RM45, boleh beli online.
Dulang hantaran aku d.i.y. jek. Kos semua tidak termasuk kaki dulang, polisterin, reben, span nipis, kain dan rambu-ramba mengurai ialah RM10. Idea mendulang aku search Google.
Masuk dua minggu yang terakhir ni, aku dah re-check semua yang aku booking. Pelamin, jumpe orang tu balik, bayar deposit at least 30% dari jumlah harga, then masa dia datang pasang pelamin, akan bayar up to 50%. Masa dia datang bukak pelamin, setelkan terus.
Photographer pulak dah 90% bayar, masa ambik album nanti, aku tinggal bayar lagi 10%. Kek perkahwinan pun kena telefon jugak pada si pembuat, deposit letak hari tu 50%.
Pada aku, untuk mengelakkan ke'kempis'an poket pada hari dan selepas majlis nanti, at least buatlah pembayaran untuk setiap benda yang disewa tu, 70%-80%. Nanti bakinya taklah banyak sangat nak setelkan. Ada jugak yang bayar habis, tapi bagi aku, kalau bayar habis, jika ada apa-apa yang kita tak puas hati, tak boleh nak claim balik. Baik bayaran akhir tu hold dulu.
Apa lagi ek..oh ya, untuk barang-barang dapur tu aku serahkan pada mak and bapak aku. Itu yang paling hardcore pun kalau nak aku yang buat. Barang tu akan dibeli minggu terakhir sebelum majlis. Tapi dah tempah siap-siap telur masin, ayam, daging dan beras. Tempah je, tak payah letak deposit. Barang-barang ni biasanya sentiasa ada, cuma kena pastikan pada masa tu, semuanya mesti cukup.
Kad pun dah mula pos dan edar dua minggu terakhir ni. Pos awal kang takut orang lupa.
Untuk candy buffet...aku rasa macam aku dah terlupa jek. Huu almaklumlah, relaks sangat khenn. Aku pun dah terlupa apa plak aku nak letak kat candy buffet aku tu. Mungkin akan diusahakan la untuk adakan, kalau ada. Hahah. Kalau tak, tak ada la jawabnye.
Semalam incik tunang tu mengamuk sakan siap tumbuk-tumbuk dada tarik rambut bagai. Hahakhakahkaha. Boleh dia kata pakej photographer aku mahal?! Memang aku orang kaya, ambik pakej mahal-mahal. Nak pulak dibandingkan pakej aku ngan pakej kawan dia tu. Hmmph..sebenarnya aku ni memang tak berkesempatan nak cari photographer murah-murahan, dah terang lagi nyata aku ni tidak drive. Dan pulak, photographer yang satu ni paling dekat dengan umah aku, membolehkan aku pergi kedai diorang menaiki motor tanpa perlu lesen memandu. Pakej yang aku ambik tu pun tahap 'pprt' paling murahan kat kedai tu. Selamat setengah jam pastu, dah okey hikhik.

Pelamin :: Tips mengenali cinta wanita

Simplenye :) I was thinking to d.i.y. my own pelamin. Since I'm looking for something simple yet beautiful and uniquely creative, hmm...but still considering this. However, I love the idea of paper lantern and paper craft so much!
Wan is away (sailing again) and I was much enjoyed myself at home. Past night we're fought over smoke. Because he was stressed out over one thing, and I'm the one to blame about it!
One of my friend called me last night. And we're talking about loyal and honesty to our partner. I mean, he asked me 'macam mana nak tahu kalau seseorang tu betul-betul jodoh kita?'
I taught the question is quite subjective. So this is my answer;
'Saya rasa kalau betul-betul dia jodoh kita, kita akan rasa kita sudah bersedia untuk fokus. Maksud saya, kita akan bersedia untuk beri komitmen. Sampai satu tahap perhubungan, kita tak rasa nak cari yang lain.'
'Macam mana nak tahu perempuan tu suka kita? Since I've told her but not directly. Then she said she need time. Maybe saya ni bukannya suka, tapi saya sebenarnya senang dengan dia.'
This is my response to this kind of question;
'Perempuan perlukan kepastian. Certainty. Kalau dia provok awak dengan soalan macam tu pun, awak dah teragak-agak. Maknanya awak sendiri pun tak pasti dengan perasaan awak,'
'Tapi saya dapat rasa, saya memang sukakan dia. Suka dengan senang tu apa bezanya?'
'Kalau suka, cinta, sayang...kita akan berubah bila jumpa dia. A girl is a girl after all. Saya akan take time untuk bersiap, pakaian kemas, pertuturan dan segalanya pun nak cover. Kalau awak senang dengan dia, maknanya you can talk almost about anything to her. Kalau depan orang yang kita suka, mungkin kita akan berfikir-fikir nak cakap pasal apa,'
'Tapi itu namanya tak jujur. Dalam perhubungan perlu kejujuran,'
'Cam ne ek...ok, nak kata tak jujur tu, mungkin betul. Tapi sebab kita suka dia, sayang dia, kita sentiasa nak nampak dan berikan yang terbaik untuk dia. Jadi saya rasa, itu bukannya tak jujur, tapi kita berubah menjadi sesuatu yang lebih baik,' jujur mempunyai maksud yang subjektif bagi aku.
I think he really like this girl. So the next thing we're talking about courage. He said that few of his friends been suggesting crazy idea of not contacting the girls for about 2-3 days (me too). I think it's a great idea. Since before this, he's the one take part of messaging the girl. So, try to slow down for a few days and there might be consequences.
'Selepas beberapa hari awak tak contact, then awak mesej dia. Ada dua kemungkinan ;
*Dia akan terus reply mesej awak. Pertama sekali mungkin dia akan tanya 'awak pergi mana? senyap je...' ataupun dia akan tanya 'awak tak sihat ke?'
Kalau respon macam ni, ada peratusan tinggi dia memang sukakan awak.
*Dia lambat reply mesej. Macam nak tak nak je reply.
Respon macam ni pun ada dua kemungkinan. Dia mungkin terlalu gembira awak mesej dia, sampai dia tak tahu nak reply macam mana kerana terlalu banyak perkara yang mahu diperkatakan. Ataupun dia memang tak sukakan awak. Awak mesej atau tak, sama je.
Perkara lain pulak. Jangan rasa kecil hati kalau selama beberapa hari awak tak mesej, dia pun tak mesej awak. Perempuan ada perasaan malu, jadi dia sangat malu untuk memulakan mesej awak kerana awak yang selalu mesej dulu. Sila maklum. Ataupun dia memang tak suka langsung. Sebab tu dia tak kisah awak contact dia ataupun tak,'
Whateveritis, I asked him to berusaha. I don't want him to cuba. Berusaha is liked you really fight to get her, and you are certain of your feeling towards her. If you cuba, then you are not certain of your feeling, and it looks like if you're not getting her it's not a big deal at all.
Men and women need to talk about their feelings a lot. As long as they're not taking it over than their faith. Then it is okay (n_n).

Plan for the big 'M'
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
I am soo happy right now since the date has been set up. InsyaAllah another 6 months 4 days from now. Planning for a marriage is fun. But when you count up the total amount that would take place, boleh pengsan! It's true when people say, today if you don't have 30 thousand ringgit, don't ever dream to get married. Few~
Now I'm looking for the photographer that still available on my date. I've past few that is very good, but since by that time we don't have specified date yet, so I let them go. Now, all of them are fully booked. Why end of year is always the most popular time to get together?
Can I have like a budget planner that may help me using my money wisely? Now that I'm trying to cut down a little bit from my monthly shop.
For the cooking things and ingredients, I let mak and abah decide it. I'm just giving out the cash (nooooooo~) and let them buy what they want, what their heart desire. My part would be the other, like pelamin, photographer, candy buffet, kad jemputan and berkat. **baru perasan tak masukkan kos kad jemputan dalam bajet pffftt**

Whatever. This is just the raw cost. I'm trying to go for as low as possible. This month I need to nail few photographers and their quotation. Next month, pelamin! :)

wordless wednesday :: Candy Buffet
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
Candy Buffet is rather a simple idea on how you may entertain the kids during the majlis. Kids may choose which one they like. It's better if it's packed (if you have like more than 20 types) when it comes to them rather than make them choose (which might take ages!).
You may dip chocolate cookies in white and chocolate flavor, some chewy candy, pickles and some hard candy. My cousin's make her own chocolate flavored in almond, raisin and strawberry. I was thinking about it too :)
Chocolate fountain is another thing in mind.
Aku lagi suka sewa mesin chocolate fountain je. Sebab kalau difikir-fikirkan, macam mahal je amik pakej yang sedia ada. Tapi kalau dah ada chocolate fountain, barang-barang pun lebih kurang sama macam barang kat meja candy buffet...tak payah la ek.

Kisah E-Day - bukan wordless weds
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
Inillah yang dapat aku bingkiskan sikit dari kisah pertunangan aku dan Shrek hahah ok sori, dengan tunang teman le.
Proses dimulakan dengan pembuatan kotak-kotak coklat dan kotak cupcake. Kemudian ada jugak bekas bunga rampai yang macam sarang burung tuh. Haa..yang itu pun buat jugak. Tapi auntie kat kedai pengantin tu yang buatkan heheh teman beli aje ye.
Inilah ceper yang teman pinjam dari mak sedara teman. Proses menggilap ceper tembaga yang beratnya mencecah 3 kg sekeping ni memang tak mudah. Siang malam teman menggilap sampai hasil akhirnya....haa, bersinar nampak gigi lubang hidung bagai.
Beberapa hari sebelum majlis, teman pun mencemar duli turun ke dapur membuat chocolate truffle. Senang je buat chocolate truffle ni. Teman pakai cooking chocolate, whipped cream dan kemudian teman masukkan kacang badam dalam chocolate truffle teman. Yang gelap sikit warnanya dalam kertas kuning tu, white chocolate truffle with Oreo uish...glamer bebenor namenye hikhik coklat pun teman buat sendiri. Almaklumlah, gaji teman dah kelaut beli barang-barang lain...hehe
Kendian, pada tarikh 22 Januari 2012, teman pun selamat ditunangkan dengan tunang teman. Majlis berjalan lancar. Alhamdulillah. Teman buat kecil-kecilan, jadi takla sekampung yang datang ke majlis teman ni.
Sewaktu majlis, teman menunggu dalam bilik aje. Selepas lebih kurang sejam jugak pihak lelaki berunding, teman dipanggil keluar untuk sarung cincin. Waktu tu teman dah tak tau mana satu bakal mak mentua teman. Punyalah teman nervous sampai semua sekali teman salam (yang perempuan aje). Haa...lepas tu baru aku jumpa 'umi' aku. Tapi umi tak sarung cincin, yang menyarungnya mak kepada umi, kiranya bakal atuk mertua teman le tu. Dalam bahasa Inggeris disebut grandma-in-law wannabe.
Ini le antara hantaran pihak lelaki kepada teman. Masa teman dalam bilik, teman try le kunyah sirih tu. Mak haih, pahit! Padan muka teman. Hantaran 5 berbalas 9.

Ini le hantaran dari pihak teman. Kalau dikira memang 7, tapi tidak termasuk sirih junjung dan juga mangkuk tingkat. Mula-mula teman ingatkan nak bagi bakul Sia bagi menggantikan mangkuk tingkat. Tapi mak teman tak sempat nak belikan. Teman pun memang rancang macam-macam hari tu. Dek kesuntukan masa, ini je yang termampu dibuat dek teman. Teman pun sampai malam Sabtu, sedangkan Ahad tu majlisnya. Memang kesuntukan masa di situ.
Antara menu yang teman hidangkan ialah nasi putih, udang masak lemak dengan nenas, ikan talapia masak kencur (masakan orang Jawa), ayam masak kicap berempah (yang ni atuk teman yang masak dengan mak uteh, sedap sangat) dan sambal goreng (mak ngah teman yang masak, pun sedap). Untuk pencuci mulut, ada limau mandarin, kek coklat, bahulu gulung, karipap, agar-agar santan, tat nenas dan kuih lompang.
Teman nak berterima kasih kepada saudara-saudara teman yang datang, mak cik dan pak cik teman. Semuanya datang, seronok sangat. Sekian sahaja kisah pertunangan teman. Harap-harapnya boleh la dijadikan panduan bagi yang tak tahu, lepas tu pepandai le kome improve ye. Jalan masih jauh lagi...
Keesokan harinya sempat le teman melayan kesayangan teman 2 ekor ni main-main. Ghindu dekat dioghang ni tau.

I'm a bride to be from Johore
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
Right now I'm at Kulai...kinda visiting my aunts' here but later I'll ask his son to send me to bus station. So that by this evening I'll be arriving hometown. Mak keep asking whether I'm going back home or not. Since tomorrow they're going to visit my sister.
My friends keep asking me to upload my engagement picca. It's not that I don't want, but really there's nothing interesting nor beautiful enough to show. Thanks to my sister, it's just an amature photographer who blindly clicking half of my face with my eyes closed *pffffttt* I'll upload later when I'm ready (which means I'll need to edit some of it).
Being someones' fiance doesn't mean that I'm qualified to be a housewife, mind ya. Mak keep asking me to clean the fish, chicken and cook. Oh, boring duties.
I was looking for the photographer. Photographer need earlier bookking and I think right now it's a perfect time to start viewing some of their portfolio and works plus quotation they might offer. Yippie!! My cousin introduces me to one of them. But I think I need to keep my saving if I want to hire them. They are super expensive ( according to my point of account statement) but very good.
Seriously if you're looking just a photographer to take picture, just for the sake of picture ONLY, then you may get RM650-1000 per package. But if you're looking for something special, that you want to remember it for the last of your life then you might need to spent at least RM1500 and above (might be RM4000) for such a photographer.

This is something that I think I need to make early survey. Because sometimes they got promotions with the price we never expected. So, early bird gets worm.

Seriously if you're looking just a photographer to take picture, just for the sake of picture ONLY, then you may get RM650-1000 per package. But if you're looking for something special, that you want to remember it for the last of your life then you might need to spent at least RM1500 and above (might be RM4000) for such a photographer.

The Menus
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
My mum was all over excited for the kenduri. She kept changing the menus. I've also been dreaming on serving several desserts to his family. If only I got the time to make it. My Saturday is my working day, full okeh!
Hmm...merancang aje la. Barang-barang semua dah ada. Just to make sure I have the time to do all this. Bos aku ni kureng acam betoi, Krismas krismas suh orang keje. Ingat bole la shopping barang sikit-sikit. Ceh.

another month to go
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
'Officially booked version'
One month and I'm away from my single status. Let's hope so. I'm not preparing too much since it's still a month to come, but still, preparations need to done such as booking for cake, looking for the menus, decorations for the dulang and such.
I haven't buy anything yet. I'm waiting for the next month to buy kain pelekat, sajjadah and bath towel. Bath towel? Haha it's my mums idea. Lepas tu aku tengok harga tuala mandi saja cecah dekat seratus hegget! Said that normally people 'during her era' gave things like that. I insist on buying camera or iPhone, but then my friends told me that if I gave such thing during engagement, then what would I gave during my wedding day?
The Dulang consists of those things and pineapple tart. I love pineapple tart and I want Wan to share the delight of my favourite too. Mum asked to give 2 boxes, then I asked Wan for his favourite Hari Raya biscuits (he said he eat any biscuits!). Specifially he like Almond London. So, there you go. Pineapple Tart and Almond London for the first dulang.
Some things that I urged to make my own is the dulang.
Strawberry and apple's in chocolate. I hope we have enough time to look for strawberry in Muar. Giant don't have this, maybe I should go as far as Batu Pahat or Melaka if possible. I haven't look at Fresco yet, hopefully there is. Wan gonna hate this (he doesn't like the idea of me getting hard finding things that aren't easy to get).
Traditionally mum wants me to have a bakul rotan where the fresh fruit would be there (apple, orange, mango, bananas) but I rather go for something modern. The fruit might be dried out, and too traditional la, orang lama. So, the main plan is to get strawberry and apple, but exceptional would be grape and cake ball.
Cupcakes in purple. When we discuss about the theme color before, I go for grey, a satin silk grey which I mention earlier, while Wan asked why not purple? So yes, purple it is. I think it looks great with cupcakes. I'll make buttercream on top. I love buttercream more than royal icing. Or maybe I'll buy instant fondant dough to make the purple flower to put on top.
Kek lapis asam manis. Best in the world! (sepatah kata Razif Hashim). For this, I want to call my auntie (she's got her own kek lapis trademark at Kluang). But mum got the idea to bake the cake. I don't know bout this since making this traditional layer cake takes about 4 hours. I don't have the time. If I bake it this week, it will end in my stomach for sure. Booking will costs around RM65.
Homemade chocolate. Mum doesn't give her comment while I mention this, luckily. I just learn how to make homemade chocolate from my cousin's wedding. She put some strawberry essence, nuts and raisins in their chocolate. I was thinking of 2 different versions of homemade chocolate. One just like the picture, another one would be Oreo cookies covered in chocolate. Right now it's the container that I'm looking for.
Homemade chocolate truffles. Either this one or the chocolate up there. I've been collecting many videos on how to make chocolate truffle which is quite easy. Then it is quite pricey but still looks and taste good. If I manage to make this, I would surely put only 6 to 10 pieces only on a box.
For the hantaran which consist 10% from the exact 'price', Wan wants me to decorate coins to become a flower! Well, he said he almost got RM60 in his tabung beruang madu, there's more to collect if he indeed want this, he really need to give me the coins earlier so that I would have enough time to make the coins flower.
Once I told Mummy Jazlin that we're not doing according to plan, instead we replaced it with an engagement kenduri (haven't told her this), my mum kinda...stay silently. I don't know, maybe she's quite upset with me since I broke her down. I didn't mean to. Everything happen out of my expectation. Hopefully she'll recover soon.

Wedding to remember
Assalammualaikum w.b.t.
This is from my cousin's wed. It's nice to have a Javanese wedding concept and to have a sponsored kebaya for all of us. Congratulations to both, Kamariatun Nahariah Kamal and Hazli Dzazali. You guys look totally adorable. A dashing groom and a darling bride.
Selepas nikah, ada satu majlis lagi iaitu penyerahan tanggungjawab anak gadis kepada suami anaknya yang sah. Masa Pak Ngah (ayah pengantin perempuan) melafazkan ayat-ayat tu, tak terasa apa sangat. Tapi sekali Mak Ngah (mak pengantin perempuan) menyerahkan anak gadisnya, mak haih, sentap terus aku, Farah dengan Dayah. Masing-masing punya la payah cover sebab mata dah berair...tunggu gugur jek. Dah la jaga Candy Buffet dengan Guest Book...waa!!!
Majlis Malam Berinai. Majlis kecil-kecilan sahaja tapi it's my first time ever. Sebelum ni ingatkan malam berinai tu time tu la orang pakai inai. Rupanya lebih kurang macam tepung tawar jek.
Malam berinai tu jugak ada majlis lain seperti Marhaban dan Berzanji. Meriah walaupun hujan agak lebat tapi semuanya berjalan lancar, Alhamdulillah.

Sementara pengantin bersanding di atas pelamin, kami dayang-dayang telah diamahkan tugas-tugas khas di Candy Buffet, Guest Book, bunga pahar dan memberi cenderahati kepada tetamu. Kemudian pengantin pun diarak ke meja makan berdamai. Lepas tu dayang-dayang pun...
Haa...seronok ok. Sebelah abah, ini kira yang agak last la dari kalangan sepupu rapat dari kalangan adik-beradik abah. Kira penutup tahun jugak la. Tunggu tahun depan la ye nampaknya.. Apa-apapun, tahniah untuk kedua-dua mempelai.
